If you are Walmart pharmacist in California, please leave some input here, Thank you!!!
1. welcome any negative or positive inputs
2. What is the average prescription volume in your store (also put down your location if you don't mind). I just had an interview with CVS in LA county, the district manager told me that CVS has #1 market share in South California, followed by Rite Aid, then Walgreens. I thought Walmart, in general, is the busiest pharmacy. Did you still remember the number of scripts you verified on the first few days of training? Did they expect you to hit the ground running when you first start? How long did it take you to reach the script # they required.
3. I heard almost all the retail pharmacies use different kinds of "crazy" metrics to measure pharmacists' performance, especially CVS. Is Walmart also trending toward that kind of management now? I am a new grad. These metrics will definitely make me crazy. I don't mind work more or take extra work. I am just afraid these stupid metrics will eventually make me lose my job. I know a couple of pharmacists got fired simply because they couldn't meet the required metrics. Is it the same thing happening in Walmart now?
4. any drive-through, MTM, PBM or flu shot for Walmart in California? (other retail chain pharmacies are adding and implementing these programs to increase their profit while cutting tech hours. horrible!!!)
5. any tech hours cut in Walmart recently? Does Walmart still consider a well-staffed retail pharmacy?
6. stores in urban vs. rural (in terms of workload)?
7. Are they receiving a lot of e-scripts? or doctors still prefer to phone-in Rx? haha...I can imagine the phones ringing off the hook throughout the day in a busy Walmart pharmacy. (I ask this question because I did most of my rotations in closed door or institutional pharmacy settings and they mostly received Rx by fax. Unfortunately, there are not much openings for closed door pharmacy.)
8. any tips on how to survive under high-stress retail pharmacy? You may say stay calm (that's exactly what I said during the interview, haha....). I don't think I am able to stay calm and "keep smiling" while being drawn in different directions to take care unreasonable angry customers.
9. I don't think I will consider Target because of their long waiting lists and relatively hard interview process. There are NO openings for Costco and Sam's Club now. Is it Walmart the only option left in retail?

You are also welcome to leave input about other pharmacies like safeway, walgreens, cvs, rite aid, kmart, Albertson, etc.

BIG thanks!!!

no offense:

but seriously, ask your recruiter these questions....
