how come not meharry?
you probably don't need to have such a long list...

Welcome to the forums.

Good job networking, so keep that up. Keep connecting with students you interact with at the GoDental fair or any of the recruitment events you have attended. I would consider Meharry, but I also agree, you likely can call your shot. Other than your in-state NY options, I'm intrigued about the non-regional choices on your list (UCSF and UNC?). [You also listed Stony twice above.] You could swap in Tufts and Harvard; UNE if you are open to rural New England. Probably include Nova if you want to, but in the end, make sure the schools you list are ones you absolutely want to attend.

For your dental assistant employment, did you continue after high school? Volunteering may need more hours with food distribution (soup kitchen and/or food insecurity) to 100 hours to be safe.

I wanted to go to UNC for undergrad and also like the location of UCSF, I'll admit I do have some research to do about these schools more. I stopped working as an assistant shortly before graduation. And I'll look into more volunteering. Thank you!
