As a Canadian with a really low test score imo your chances are not wonderful
Is a retake in late august/early september viable if i take the american DAT? my earliest retake for canadian DAT is september 15

Those DAT scores won't help. Are you just taking the US DAT? That won't be a big problem but you need a real improvement in your scores (20+ on everything) for a possible shot in the US. But I agree your GPA doesn't help you.

I guess taking the US DAT is in my best favor as I heard most schools prefer US DAT even if they accept Canadian DAT. One of my friends was rejected from UDM and was told that they suggest she takes the US DAT instead of the Canadian DAT to have a better shot.

Yes the US DAT is preferred for US programs, which is why I wonder why you are thinking about the Canadian test.

Since I'm canadian I felt like taking the canadian dat would be more suitable, however I wish i took the american one instead. I will think and see whether I should take the american one in early september. In my AADSAS when I submitted I let the schools know i'm taking it july 15, would I have to email the schools now and let them know i'm retaking in such date in september? Would they ignore this and evaluate my application based on my current canadian score?

probably depends on the schools, you could reach out and ask. But my guess is that they will evaluate you on your current score until they receive a new score
