That MCAT is lethal for MD and a lot of DO schools, including mine.

Chances best with the newest DO schools.

IF you have test taking anxiety issues, those can be fixed.
Are you aware that Howard and Morehouse are mission based schools?

I suggest these DO schools:
ACOM
ARCOM
BCOM
ICOM
UIWSOM
LMU-DCOM
UP-KYCOM
WVSOM
VCOM (all schools)
CUSOM
LECOM (all schools)
NYIT-arkansas
PCOM-Georgia&SouthGeorgia
Most of these schools have MCAT medians in the 498 to 502 range so apply to all of them

For those of you with a not too great MCAT score: a sub par MCAT is not the end of the world. With a 498 MCAT, my friend applied to 10 DO schools, got 7 interview invites (WVSOM, VCOM, LECOM, KYCOM, LMU-DCOM, PCOM, and KCUMB) attended 5, and got accepted to 4 schools (WVSOM, VCOM, LECOM, and KYCOM).

Congrats! I have a similar MCAT score breakdown but slightly higher c/p which earned me a 501. Are you URM or have a compelling ps? When were ypu complete by?

is a 498 and a 122 in CARS no longer grounds for a retake? DO schools readily accept those scores?

This guy should seriously consider a retake; that MCAT score is scraping the bottom of the barrel. A 505 would put them in good shape for DO schools and somewhere north of ~512 might make them a competitive MD applicant.

he got accepted already

Don't want to steal the credit for a feat I have not completed, I mentioned in the original post that this was my friend who has gotten into these schools, not myself

@JimBone905 she comes from a medically underserved area, took her MCAT in the end of June. Had secondaries complete to these schools by probably mid to late august. I'm glad that you at least you read the entire thread, as it seems no-one else did lol
