MD & DO WAMC 3.77/509

Hi all,

I would love and appreciate some help. I applied this cycle to 20 MD schools and 4 DO schools with no luck (0 ii). Here's some info on my app:

GPA: 3.77 sGPA~ 3.57

MCAT: 509 127/128/125/129

State: CA, ORM

Undergrad: State school

Ties to other States/Regions: None

Clinical Experience: 1000 hours scribe

Research: ~200 hours (1 pub)

Non-Clinical Volunteering: ~2100 hours soup kitchen, homeless shelter


It would be great to get some advice on where I should apply next cycle and areas to improve in the meantime. Thank you 🙂

You applied to several state public schools that accept very few non residents with a MCAT of 509 and no connection to the state. I suggest applying more broadly to DO schools in the coming cycle and include all these:
