Applying this cycle! Currently in gap year getting more clinical experience (MA) and volunteering. Want to know what my chances are with MD because been somewhat radio silence 🙂 Applied all MD and one DO. Any advice / insight would be great - getting anxious in the waiting game. Thank you!

1. 3.77 GPA, 3.67 sGPA
2. 509 MCAT (127/126/126/130) - 4th Q Casper
3. FL Resident, strong ties to MD and CA
4. White female
5. Decent undergrad (top 70)
6. 2100 hours MA (urology - current gap year), Clinical Assistant (25 hours)
7. 500 research hours, 2 presentations, abstract in ophthalmology
8. 125 shadowing hours (chronic fatigue, ophthalmology, PM&R)
9. 500 non-clinical volunteer hours, 100 clinical volunteering
10. TA in general chemistry, organic chemistry tutor, triathlete, two leadership positions in student orgs
11. Cum laude in undergrad.

List: Wake Forest, TCU, Vermont, Jefferson, Albany, FIU, WesternU, Tufts, UCF, Georgetown, MCWisconsin, VCU (R), UCSD (hold), Drexel, UMD, USF, Arizona-Phoenix, Arizona-Tucson, Tulane, EVMS, Virginia Tech, GW (hold), UF, UIC, UCI, Creighton, OSU, UCLA, Temple, Quinnipiac, Penn State, Toledo, USC, Oregon (MD/MPH), Wisconsin, Loyola, FSU, Vanderbilt, UCSF (no secondary), Rush, Miami Miller

All secondaries submitted by mid August (within 2 weeks) - one DO II, radio silence from MDs besides 1 R (VCU) and some pre-II holds (UCSD, GW)
