Some activities are vague for privacy. Any help with the school list would be greatly appreciated.

cGPA: 3.89
sGPA: 3.92
MCAT: 521 (131/129/131/130)
State: Missouri
Ethnicity and/or race: White
Undergrad: T10

Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer):
150 hours - volunteering at local healthcare facilities
Others were canceled due to COVID

Research experience and productivity:
1700 hours - one middle author, one first author (review with original data). Poster presentation in department

Shadowing:
250 hours - (IM, Pathology, Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, Radiology, Hospitalist)

Non-clinical volunteering:
800 hours - President of tutoring group for underserved students
500 hours - academic tutor

Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc):
800 hours - part-time employment for several years

Relevant honors or awards:
Award for research

LORs: Should have a set of strong letters including a physician I shadowed, my PI, and a professor I took two classes with (and did very well)

Other:
From a rural area. Don’t know if that’s where I want to practice, but may be a factor in applying to some schools.

School list is probably too top-heavy, so any suggestions for more mid-level schools are welcome.

Your clinical is fine, especially since you have a ton of shadowing. Your list is appropriate. You forgot Columbia.

The list is starting to get quite long. If I were going to trim some schools where might I start, other than UNC?
