3rd time applicant- Overall GPA: 3.46, Science: 3.41, Last 45: 3.20. Animal experience 700+, Vet experience 4500+. Currently work as an unlicensed vet tech at a small animal + exotics GP/ER. Heavily involved in extracurriculars throughout high school and college. Applied to 19 schools (Waiting to hear from — Auburn, Mississippi St, LSU, Michigan, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Purdue, Georgia, Tennessee, and Penn) (Denied from A&M, Ohio, Tech, UCD, and Kansas interview waitlist). Accepted to RCVM and SGU thus far. Accepted to LMU spring but deferred to fall. What are my chances?

Also, I have an explanatory statement for the drop in grades my last 2 semesters. My letters of recommendation come from 2 veterinarians, my anatomy professor, and my practice manager

WAMC, but you DID get into SGU, RCVM, and LMU, so congrats!!!

As for your other schools, are any of those an IS school? If you’re OOS, I think your GPA will likely hurt you for some (like UGA), because they are so competitive for limited OOS seats. But for others, your strong experience, paired with excellent essays and LORs, could give you a decent chance.

What are my chances?
So I won't be able to give you great information cause you actually didn't give us a ton of info, particularly as a re-applicant. If you look at the other threads, there's a format we request people follow to give you the best info we can.

First and foremost, why did you make the school list you made?
Waiting to hear from — Auburn, Mississippi St, LSU, Michigan, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Purdue, Georgia, Tennessee, and Penn
Based on your GPA, you're likely SOL on CO, GA, LSU, and Penn. Why did you apply to these schools?
Denied from A&M, Ohio, Tech, UCD, and Kansas interview waitlist
Are you a Texas resident? If not, that's why you were denied by the TX schools.
Accepted to RCVM and SGU thus far. Accepted to LMU spring but deferred to fall
LMU will be far be your cheapest option
