You seem to be in good shape. I'm curious what your experiences have been so far and whether any of them support any goals to work back in Alaska.
Thanks MrSmile. Yeah I've lived in AK pretty much my whole life, and most of my family are here. A lot of my hobbies are pretty Alaska-centric. For extracurriculars, the food bank I volunteer with is an Alaskan organization that I support. I do plan on eventually practicing in Alaska. The WWAMI program with UW is definitely my #1 choice, as being able to get through a good chunk of med school without needing to move would be a huge benefit for me.

Do you have anything particular in mind regarding experiences that could potentially support my goal to work in my state?

Nothing specific but have you contacted anyone about the National Health Service Corps or similar programs to practice back in Alaska? I'm not an expert in that but hopefully you can carry in some scholarship money if you get an offer.
