Should I retake MCAT? School list too unrealistic?

Any non-clinical community service activities? Food distribution, shelter volunteer, job/tax preparation, legal support, transportation services, or housing rehabilitation? I know it's challenging when you have a job, but anything else at your church other than choir leader?

I was a worship leader and Korean school instructor for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen Korean-Americans. Also, I was a nonclinical volunteer in hospice service. I only talked to the patients and wrote songs for them. My mistake!

You have several state public schools on your list that admit few non residents with a MCAT of 509 and no connection to the state (UC Riverside admitted only 1 non resident last year and UC Davis only 2 or 3 per year). I suggest these schools with your stats:
Your 2 Missouri state public schools
Vermont
Quinnipiac
Albany
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Penn State
George Washington
Virginia Commonwealth
Eastern Virginia
Wake Forest
Methodist (when it opens)
NOVA MD
Belmont
Alice Walton
Tulane
TCU
Creighton
St. Louis
Rosalind Franklin
Loyola
Rush
Medical College Wisconsin
Oakland Beaumont
Wayne State
Roseman
Loma Linda (if you fit their mission)
You have a good DO list.

Hi! Also a MO resident here, I applied last cycle with a 509 and got into 3 schools on your list SLU, Mizzou, and KCU (will be attending Slu in the fall).
509 isn't a score that you would need to retake, but if you feel that you want to retake, just make sure that your scores will improve since the schools can see all attempts' scores (you wouldn't want to risk it going down)

I think Slu would love you as an applicant since they are heavy on service and social justice!

Keep in mind that most schools like to see at least 150 hours completed for the service orientation activities I described above, or else your file may get screened out. However, I'm ambivalent whether your 6K+ hours as a nurse will help you (seriously, do you really need to show more service orientation here?). Boost your activity in these activities if you can during your application. Let us know how it goes.

P.S. You may need to clarify what you do with virtual eICU.

I am definitely nervous about applying SLU since their latest MSAR update (which was today) shows quite a bit of MCAT median jump, but we will see what happens! Hopefully we get to say hi!

Good luck in med school!
