I did better on the MCAT than I ever thought I could and now I feel like I need to aim higher. I want to create a well-balanced school list and am hoping to apply to around 15 schools. I was hoping to stay close to home for personal reasons but now I don’t know what I will do. Not sure if my ECs are adequate to be successful at T10s and would like feedback. I’m concerned that my research experience is lackluster for top tier schools, I am in the lab for only about an hour a week.
Current School List (Was aiming for a 512)
Iowa
Creighton
Mayo
SLU
Colorado
Minnesota
Wisconsin
Missouri-Columbia
Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health
Washington University Saint Louis
Dartmouth (interested in MD/MS engineering program)
I want to add schools that compliment my stats, but I need help balancing my list. What ratio of safety/target/reach do I shoot for? Thank you for any feedback!
