MD WAMC and possible School list

Hello SNDers,
Using the format posted in the sticky posts:

1. cGPA: 3.87 and sGPA: 3.84
2. UPDATE: 504 (128/122/129/125)
3. New York State Resident
4. White
5. Won't give specific University, but rather respected engineering and science school
6. Scribe for 3 years
7. Researched heavily first and second year with publication to PNAS as second author
8. Scribe for 3 years
9. In co-ed community service fraternity since freshman year, and was President last semester.
10. TA for Anatomy and Physiology
11. nothing I can think of in this category to set me apart

Bump. Got MCAT back. 504 composite with 128/122/129/125. Does this kill MD chances? Pretty bummed about the score. I think it may get me screened out at a lot of places -_-.

Yes, it will hurt you. You can remove Hofstra, Einstein, Rochester from the schools I suggested. You could still receive some interviews since you do have an excellent GPA. You could also apply to DO schools, at least 8, and you are competitive for the majority of DO schools. Another alternative would be to study hard and retake late this year to improve your CARS subsection. However, you would need to postpone your application until next June.

You would be better off to wait and retake later this year and apply next June. Only retake when your practice scores for CARS are at least 125. Your CARS of 122 and overall MCAT of only 504 limits your chances for MD schools.

They were in the 124-125 range which is why I didn't feel too badly taking the test. I messed up on test day I guess. Thanks for the help.
