Based off the data of accepted applicants from last cycle, I thought my starts were in range. Also, I have family in both those areas.

Your BCP GPA is going to make your application a challenge, though I presume your upper-level courses are A's given your start with prereqs. At least your DAT is reasonable. Your list is too long, and just because you have family in the area doesn't make it easier for you to get considered with your lower GPA.

Most of your dental experience is working in the orthodontics office? I don't know if your dental experience is diverse enough (i.e., more general dentistry hours that balance your ortho experience). I also disregard any activity with fewer than 50 hours unless it's shadowing; consequently, it doesn't look like you've been significantly involved on campus.

I don't think your metrics indicate success in an intense 3-year curriculum (Pacific or Roseman). Oregon will be very challenging for California applicants with your metrics and lack of experience. UCSF may want you to increase research exposure and improve science performance. I don't get a strong enough impression that you have a solid understanding of a dental career compared to so many other applicants with hundreds of hours of dental assisting or non-profit student clinic coordination (you only listed 30 hours).

Total volunteering hours at the non profit clinic is 130 hours. I split it up between volunteering as a dental assistant and being the student clinic coordinator (which was only for a year).
