**what other schools should I add? I perfer schools near urban areas

@Goro @Faha Im going into my senior year, so an MCAT retake would be difficult with my upper science classes that I have to take. If you were in my position, what would you reccomend I do going forward for the next cycle incase this one does not turn in my favor?

List looks fine, if you apply broadly enough you have a chance. In the unfortunate event that you don’t get in this cycle you should up your volunteering hours and retake the MCAT.

I appreciate your reply. I feel like I work so damn hard but never get the results. Im just gonna have to work harder. When should I plan to retake the mcat in your opinion?

Like Faha said above, you have a good chance of getting interviews, at that point its going to be up to your interview skills on whether or not you get accepted. But as far as retaking goes, unless you feel like you could study now and retake in the next month (which I DO NOT recommend) it would have to be for the next application cycle, or even the one after that, so retaking next May/June would be fine. But VERY important, DO NOT take the MCAT until you are READY. If you don't get in this cycle, you don't have to reapply the next cycle, you can take a year to strengthen you app and then reapply later, medical schools aren't going anywhere.

You have a good list and should receive several interviews. Many of those schools have MCAT medians in the 498 to 502 range.
Thanks for the reply Faha. Any suggestions on adding more schools, preferably near urban areas?

Honestly, I would up the number of hours in volunteering too. I feel 70 is way too low. Try to get at least 150. A lot of DO schools' cycles run a bit later so if you need to use a month to beef up on the hours I would do that.

@Goro @Faha After contemplation, I did not apply this cycle. Looking at 2020 DO apps: my sGPA is up @ 3.3+ w/ the same cGPA. Volunteering hours are way up. PS, LOR, and secondaries are pretty much finished and ready to be submitted the second apps open. Keeping all this in mind, should I retake my 499 MCAT?

Not one of SDN titans you are referring to but I would defiantly retake since many schools have 500 cut offs and if you get 510+ you might get into MD school. You still have 6+ months to prepare.

I recommend a retake. You'd be DOA at my school and many others with a 499 score.
