What's your school list? Do you have any decisions?

Get your homeless shelter outreach up to at least 150 hours before applying again (if you have to). You also should keep building more clinical experience, but you don't need more shadowing.

I’m from Missouri. UMKC and University of Missouri Columbia were my interviews. R from UMKC.

You could still receive an acceptance from U Missouri. If you end up reapplying, include DO schools such as DMU-COM, KCU-COM and ATSU-KCOM.

I would throw in my applications to the DO schools now (DMU, KCU, or ATS-KCOM), unless you really want to go through another application cycle. Take your shot.

Thanks for the advice! It is not possible for me to continue that homeless shelter volunteering activity, given that it is a university organization. Is your advice about more experience with homeless shelter for further strengthening my application, or is it addressing a weakness? Do you think an area of weakness for me (aside from MCAT) is volunteer experience?

If you intend to reapply, I would seek similar shelter volunteer opportunities where you will be. It can be homeless/unhoused and/or variations therein (women/family, veterans, refugees, or other marginalized communities). Ideally, stretch beyond your comfort zone.
