Cumulative GPA 3.45
Last 45 3.8-3.9
Science only 3.7

Casper score second quartile
GRE score not available yet, only needed for Oklahoma

Animal experience hours (small) 8000+ working at my local vet’s office since the age of 15
Food animal experience 3000+ working at my university farm
Multiple shadow opportunities for small, equine, surgery
Research hours - the effects of microplastics in water fowl digestive tracts

I assume by "animal experience" hours that you mean vet supervised hours. If so, you have a nice diversity of experience hours as well as some research experience. Your gpa's are competitive, especially your last 45 and science.

Yes- one is my IS. I think I’m going to add 1-2 more programs this weekend if possible. Michigan being one I’m looking into. And yes the animal exp hours are with vet supervision. When I was young of course it started as basic kennel help but as the years went by and my intent to pursue this field evolved I got a lot more responsibility and experIence with running lab tests, giving vaccinations and meds, etc.

Yes Iowa state! You seem very competitive for their program 🙂 they take into account strong last 45 and prerequisite GPAs as well as your strong experience hours
