Overall GPA:
3.88 (gpa on tmdsas and aadsas)
Science GPA:
3.95 BCMP (gpa on tmdsas)
3.87 No +/- (aadsas. Not sure why its different)

Bio-Chem-Physics GPA: 3.93 (aadsas)

DAT score (include AA and all sections):
  • This is what I am most concerned about
AA: 410 (19)
Gen Chem: 440 (21)
Reading Comp: 440 (22-23?)
QR: 410 (18)
Bio: 390 (18)

Shadowing Experience: 40 hrs @ general dentist
Volunteering Experience: 120 hours education volunteering at a school for children with special needs, 40 hrs with campus orgs
Research: 360 hours Research Assistant at developmental psychology lab. No publications
Other Extracurriculars: 4 leadership positions through undergrad. Creative/marketing or event coordination and children's education related. 335 hrs total.

lower AA and TS and below 16 PAT are going to make things difficult, especially at the texas and other publics
you do have 9 privates, so you still have a shot
i think you would have been better off taking another dat for next cycle instead of applying now...
 
I agree that I would have tried to retake the DAT before applying because of the low PAT score. I don't get a sense of your fine manual dexterity from your WAMC profile that could better inform me if that score is accurate. I also don't get a real sense of connection with a community from your non-clinical service/volunteering. I'm glad you are helping special needs students, but you also should work with adults as they will comprise most of the patients you'll see in your clinic years.

Thank you for the feedback! When it comes to manual dexterity I would say most of my experience is in the dental office which I tried to show in my application. I often adjust night guards, work with polishing kits to refine the crowns we mill in house, and I polish and floss patients at their cleanings though I am not sure they are considrered fine manual dexterity.
