Hello everyone! I was hoping to get some feedback regarding possible school list and general advice. I know that my MCAT is not the best but I wanted to see what you thought of the rest of my application.

Background: ORM, trad applicant, Open to MD and DO

Major: BS Neuroscience and BA Computer Science
Minors: Data Science, AI, Chemistry

Home State: CA, with strong ties to Wisconsin and go to college in Ohio

Cumulative GPA: 3.85 (upward trend)
Science GPA: 3.81

MCAT Scores:
508 (126,126, 127, 129)

Research:
Clinical Research focused on Pediatric Intensive Care treatments. Working on first author publication. Won third place in school poster competition. Total of 1000+ hours.

Biotech Internship for 200 hours

Clinical Experience
- 1000 hours as phlebotomist (paid)
- 300 hours as patient volunteer (helped with non clinical tasks)
- 250 hours as volunteer at health clinic for uninsured patients

Physician Shadowing
- around 100 hours split between internal med, geriatrics, neurosurgery, neurology, anesthesiology, radiology, and intensive care

Non Clinical volunteering

- 100 hours working with refugees
- 200 hours of tutoring local after school (low income, high risk community)
- mentored high school students and helped them develop research projects

Leadership
- co founder of honors society
- RA
- 200+ hours as undergrad TA for Bio lab


Extracurricular Activities
- co leader for a club project where we worked on modifying remote control cars for kids with Cerebral Palsy

Describe your responsibilities working with refugees.
I helped them find hospital appointments, I worked with a few and helped them apply to jobs. In addition, I worked with a few of the refugees (mainly the youth/juveniles) and tutored them in English.
