Hi 🙂) I am graduating this fall and am curious about the chances of vet school being an option this year. I am applying to a mix of US schools and international ones, and honestly have no preference where I end up. If I didn't get in this cycle I am unsure of what to focus on to strenthen my application whether it should be more hours or classes. My stats and schools I am apply to are listed below.
GPA: 3.56 cumulative
3.47 last 45 ( I had a rough semester, if I reapply next cycle, this will be much higher)
3.49 science GPA

Vet Experience
Total- 1,340 hours
Small animal/exotics- 1310 hours
Foal ICU- 30 hours

Animal Experience/volunteer
Story Book Farms Volunteer (horse therapy for children)- 50 hours
Lab fish maintenance- 100 hours
Equine and bovine handling classes- 8 hours
Shelter volunteer cats and dogs- 390 hours
Large animal classes- 50 hours

Research
Ecotoxicology Fisheries Lab- 150 hours

Extracurricular
Learning Assistant (like SI) for anatomy chemistry and biology- 640 hours
Student radio host- 80 hours
Pre vet club- 3 years
Music festival volunteer- 40 hours
Alpha XI Delta sorority 2 years
Urban Outfitters employee- 100 hours

Schools
Lincoln Memorial University- top pick
Long Island University College of Vet
Royal Veterinary College- top pick
Shreiber School of Veterinary Med
St. Georges University
University College Dublin- top pick
University of Glasgow
University of Edinburgh- top pick
University of Georgia (In State)- top pick
University of Melbourne
University of Sydney- top pick
Western University of Health Sciences
Utah State University

Maybe applying to
Louisiana State University
Michigan State University
Mississippi State University
Oregon State University
Help idk what else or which to choose to apply to

With all of your GPAs being essentially the same, it's very hard to narrow down which schools might be better choices than others. You have good experience hours, more large animal/ER/other could help with variety. Being on the average to below average side, your written portions need to be immaculate.

If your last 45 ends up being significantly higher (3.7+, I would think), then I would consider focusing on schools that look at all GPAs or look at the last 45 and science/prereq over cGPA
