Hello everyone, thank you in advance for your help as this has caused me much stress and heartache over the past several months. I am trying to determine if I should apply this cycle or wait until next cycle to apply to medical programs, and on top of that what programs should I apply too. I will be reapplying (got one interview last cycle but did not submit apps until October) as a North Carolina resident, and below are all of my updated stats and experiences.
Universities - Undergrad=Campbell University; Graduate=North Carolina State University
MCAT (3 takes) - 495 (124/124/124,123), 500 (126,123,126, 125), 510 (126/125/130/129)
Undergrad GPA - BCPM=3.35; Total=3.49
Graduate GPA - BCPM=3.95; Total=3.95
Extracurriculars - Professor/Lab Instructor of A&P=5000 hrs (5 years of exp); Medical Mission Trip to Peru=80 hrs (1 week)
Volunteer - Hospice=500 hrs (1 year); Animal Shelter=150 hrs (1 year); Food Bank Volunteer/Meals on Wheels=50 hrs (1 year)
Clinical Work - Phlebotomy/Scribe=500 hrs (1 year)
Research - over 1000 combined hours with CUSOM and UNC with poster presentation and possible pub to come
Shadowing - over 1500 hrs of shadowing in many different health care positions and specialties (with anesthesia being the predominant of the bunch)
Thanks again for any and all help, it is truly appreciated.
