Hello everyone,

I’m looking for feedback/WAMC on my application and school list. I also will list out continuous activities that I plan on sending in update letters at the end of this. Thank you in advance for all your help!

1. cGPA: 3.5 sGPA: 3.39. Trend was slightly upwards but not hugely so (3.45-3.6 from freshman year to junior year or so)
2. MCAT: 521 (130,130,130,131)
3. OH resident
4. White male
5. Public university, non-prestigious undergrad
6. Clinical experience: 210 hours, all volunteering. Emergency Department volunteering, transporting visitors and patients to rooms, assisting in filling out medical history forms, etc.
7. Research experience: 100 hours split between two places, 50 at one, 50 at other.
First research place: Clinical research, Third author publication.
Second research place: More basic sciences research things, Western Blots, PCR etc. 50 hours and counting here
8. Shadowing: 20 hours with orthopedic surgeon, 20 hours with Family Medicine Physician in progress and will be included in update letters
9. Non-Clinical volunteering: 45 hours direct engagement volunteer at homeless drop-in center for youth. Started weekly game day with incentivized participation, played pick-up basketball, and put together outfits for youth
10. Club sport president: 800 hours total, 250 as secretary, 40 as president (ongoing as president)
Non-clinical employment: 700 hours as administrative assistant at dining hall
11. 1x National Champion, 2x Regional Champion in Club Sport. Ranked #1 nationally for ~1 year consecutively, #2 nationally for 0.5 year.
All-Region team (award given to best three players at each position across regions, about 20 different universities in each region)
12. All activities are ongoing except non-clinical employment. When I send update letters, my clinical volunteering hours will be around 275-300, non-clinical volunteering around 75-100, and research ~600 (working full time), for what it’s worth.
