Just added those things!Community service: is it just through your non-profit? Break down and separate your hours with the non-profit which you established (which I would count as LEADERSHIP), your podcast, and your actual work with the community.
State of legal residence?
yup! Ive already applied to all the tmdsas schools and am looking for DO and AMCAS recommendations for out of state med schoolsTexas resident? Have you applied to TMDSAS?
Are you saying they are unrealistic bc im from Texas or because I have a 509?The OOS MD schools you have on your list are totally unrealistic with a MCAT of 509. Most OOS MD schools interview few Texas residents since they know from years of experience that Texas residents will attend a Texas school. You could try these AMCAS schools:
TCU-UNT
Tulane
NOVA MD
Hackensack
Quinnipiac
Oakland Beaumont
Apply broadly to DO schools and I suggest these:
UIWSOM
OSU-COM
CUSOM
VCOM (all schools except Monroe)
AZCOM
TUNCOM
KCU-COM
ATSU-KCOM
DMU-COM
MU-COM
NYITCOM
Touro-NY
PCOM

The Texas schools are where your best chances are. You have a good GPA and Texas schools like high GPAs.Also, do u think I have a good shot at Texas Medical schools?
Are there any other higher AMCAS schools that you think I might have a shot at?The Texas schools are where your best chances are. You have a good GPA and Texas schools like high GPAs.
Did you look at and read @Faha ’s post listing schools? You have two MCAT scores. Some schools average multiple scores. Your GPAs are good but your MCAT scores are below average for MD. If you insist on applying OOS MD follow @Faha ‘s list. Are there any other higher AMCAS schools that you think I might have a shot at?
Both. Are you saying they are unrealistic bc im from Texas or because I have a 509?
Texans who go to OOS MD schools tend to be superstars. Are there any other higher AMCAS schools that you think I might have a shot at?
