What schools should I apply to (and actually expect to get an II/eventual acceptance)?

UGPA: 3.7c 3.6sci
Medical Science Masters GPA: 3.96
Old MCAT: 33 (13P, 9V, 11B)
New MCAT: est. 514 (will take soon)
150 clinical vol hrs
150 non clinical hrs
200 hrs research (paper submitted...2nd author)
200 hrs TA
100 shadowing hours...and have a DO LOR

Would like to go to PCOM or MSUCOM but not sure if they're within my reach...

Thanks for the help

What's your state of residence? Med Sci Masters at UNTHSC? You definitely have a shot at MD schools and you are extremely competitive for DO schools if that's what your MCAT score is approximated to be.

If you score ~514 on the MCAT, apply broadly to low-tier and mid-tier MDs (especially in-state MDs), and a few competitive DO programs (maybe PCOM, AZCOM, and CCOM). Don't apply to MSUCOM unless you're a Michigan resident.

I'll apply to my in-state allo programs...what schools are considered low-tier?

If you hit 514 (or anything close to it really) I wouldn't apply to DO schools. A broad 25 MD school list would be better. You are a much better applicant than you are thinking.

Yea you are competitive for all DO and borderline MD. Just focus on the MCAT
