when did you submit?

Um, they don't understand why I haven't gotten one and they said I should have been more proactive in reaching out to dental admissions and going to pre-dental school events. They would recognize my name in the application screening

That's helpful in retrospect. 🙄What actions do they suggest you take now?

oh sorry forgot to add that. June 10. my application was verified. I added midwestern, creighton, and MOSDOH in August. LMU in sept. KCU and Roseman in oct.
when and where did you apply last cycle?
what were the results last cycle (interviews/waitlists)?

Last cycle, I applied first week of june, my dat scores went in August. I applied to all the same schools, but didn't apply to Roseman, LMU, and KCU last cycle (wanted to stay northeast). Didn't have my masters then. Didn't get a single interview last cycle and was told to pursue a masters.

did you improve any other ECs?

not really, I have been working at an OMFS clinic full time rn.
are there any linkages to the barry program?

upenn and umich are prob too large a reach for your stats

i think your chances would have been better if you were in school this semester and had grades to update during december
taking leave for fall may scare off schools this cycle...

But you already had 1 year of SMP with Barry, right? You said you are taking this semester off for family reasons. Was this disclosed in your application or shared from your Barry faculty to schools? I agree with @macsak in the conjecture that being off this semester may give reason for schools to wait until later to act. Take care of your family issues before starting dental school. It's harder to do that once you start.

i did a spring and summer sem, more than half the course work is done. The family prob came about in august, by the time the applications were in. On reddit, ppl said two sems should be fine for dental schools. I was planning on taking it spring 2026 and having it done before entering dental school in the summer/ fall. Please Idk what to do. I need to get in this cycle, I didn't have the financial means to take another sem.

BU wanted me to have my final grades in before they even gave me an interview. LMU said nothing
