Hi, I’m looking for help with my school list, I used mostly admit.org and MSAR but I wanted some feedback. I know that it’s top heavy, my goal is to cut down to no more than 28 schools. Please let me know what I should remove, add or replace.

Other things to consider:
LGBT+, late diagnosed ADHD, will be working as a CRC at Icahn full time starting this summer, I am from NYC and don’t have my license so mostly interested in urban locations with strong public transport.

LOR: 2 science prof, 1 MPH prof, 1 supervisor at biotech, 1 research supervisor, 1 MGH/MEEI MD

What feedback have you gotten from your advisors and references about your list? I would lock down the ones you know are in urban centers like NYC, Boston, Philly, or DC. With the help of your SMP committee, you should get attention.

They haven’t provided much advice other than using MSAR to see how I stack up stats wise. I’m just not sure which ones to keep over others.

Some of your schools are unrealistic with a MCAT of 510. I suggest these schools from your list:
-Duke University
-Northwestern
-UChicago
-Icahn at Mount Sinai
-Boston University
-Brown University
-Emory

-Tufts University
-Rush University

You could add Meharry, New York Medical College, Hackensack

There are other schools (Albany comes to mind) where you can do all your rotations at the university hospital on the med school campus. Smaller city, has buses, but you might have to Uber to get to a big grocery store.
