Hello! I'm a no gap year applicant graduating a semester early (Fall 2024). I have okayish stats with decent extracurriculars.
State: NY
School: Large Public State School
Ethnicity: ORM Asian
Major: Biology
GPA: 3.68 (not sure of science gpa but I think it's 3.5?)
MCAT: 510 ( 127 / 124 🙁 / 128 / 131 )
Clinical Paid: 1100 hours scribe at Urgent Cares
Nonclinical Volunteering: 100 hours university food pantry / 1400 hours for an organization (more anticipated) = 1400 hours total
Research: 75 hours in psychology currently (but 225 hours anticipated) / No pubs
Shadowing: 100 cardiologist private office / 50 ED at hospital= 150 hours
Leadership: 100 hours Organic Chemistry TA (became a mentor for one of the student who I keep in contact with)
Some hobbies as well. I think during my gap semester I'll try to get more research.
LORs: 1 from Spanish prof (strong), 1 from organic chem prof (okay), 1 from bio prof (okay), 1 from bio lab instructor cosigned with professor (strong), 1 from MD I worked with (strong), and 1 from MD that is my mentor (strong)
I think I have a pretty good personal statement (hopefully)
Other: I'll be taking Casper+Duet and Preview Soon.
School List: (31 MDs / 10 DOs) No FAP so rip wallet but I want to get in my first cycle
