Gradated recently from ~T50 private university
Clinical Experience:

- Volunteering at hospital: ~110 hrs, doing pt transport, information services, & training new volunteers.
Research Experience:
- Research assistant funded by competitive 3rd party scholarship program, continued during undergrad research course and soon-to-be gap year job: ~700 hours completed with projected ~2000 in upcoming year, designing and synthesizing nanoparticles for use in imaging & therapeutic treatments. Presented a couple posters at local uni conferences with upcoming abstract presentation at national conference. Mentored some other undergrad researchers. LoR from PI.
- Previous research experience during undergrad: ~175 hours as research assistant doing experiments on stress in captive animals.
Shadowing:

Non-clinical Volunteering:
- 200 hours environmental conservation & activism (caveat: done outside the US - looking to supplement this category in gap year as much as possible)

Leadership/Teaching:
Teaching Assistant: ~125 hours, massive (300-500 person) intro science lectures, big instructional teams w/ lots of coordination. LoRs from both profs I worked with.
Tutoring: ~110 hours, was compensated (to feed myself during COVID lockdowns)
Other:
3 yrs in university club - very minor committee role
Building educational website (solo hobby project)
Kind of bilingual?
Honors/Awards:
- Dean's list (all semesters), graduated summa cum laude
- Awarded research scholarship as mentioned above

Honestly not sure what I'm doing at this point - my sibling has had several health scares in the past few years including a bout of cancer and some other unrelated hospital visits so I feel like my attention has been somewhat scattered since 2022. Probably just making donations to schools, but I figured I'd just shoot my shot and see what happens - hoping my research experience looks nice and that my non-clinical volunteering isn't an automatic app-killer. All advice appreciated!
