Hello! I'm a CA Asian male and I think I'm a bit neurotic in assembling my school list this cycle. Right now, my mindset is to cast a net as wide as possible, but I've ended up with an unrealistic amount of schools.

Undergrad: UCR, no OOS Ties
3.93 for both cGPA and sGPA
First MCAT: 512 (128/127/130/127)
Second MCAT: 519 (131/127/131/130)

For my ECs:

Shadowing:
-50 Hours, 2 physicians

Clinical Volunteering: 530 hours
-Hospice (70 hours)
-Hospital volunteer (220 hours across NICU, ER, Med-surg)
-Free clinic (90 hours)
-Hometown hospital (150 hours)

Nonclinical Volunteering: 300 hours
-Soup kitchen (180 hours)
-Homeless outreach (120 hours)

Nonclinical Employment: 890 hours
-Swim instructor (90 hours)
-Summer warehouse job(500 hours)
-Lifeguard(300 hours)

Research:
-600 hours, 1 poster presentation, proposal won an undergrad research grant

I think I'm a bit worried because I don't necessarily have a formal leadership position anywhere in my resume, although I have instances I can draw from. Right now, I have 90 schools, which is obviously insane, and I'm wondering which ones I can take off. I've also omitted most of the T20s where I'm below the MCAT median. I'm wondering if that's a wise decision or not, especially given my retake.

I'd use LizzyM and WARS to help identify how many schools total + how many from each category/list.
WARS is super helpful if you input honest answers!

Now, on to your list as it stands.
I'm not sure if this is in preference order or not.
But let me give you a little feedback on Virginia Tech since I have a little inside scoop on that particular school.

VT is situated in Blacksburg, Virginia which is somewhat rural. Their medical school program is somewhat new. The way they built it was by partnering a State university with a private hospital which is about 45 minutes away (Carilion in Roanoke). Roanoke is a much larger city environment and there's also a VA center there.

More importantly, VT is a dark horse that should be getting a very bold new look! The Director of Residency at UVA was recently poached by VT to be their inaugural Chief of Neurosurgery. I'm not sure he is directly involved in Residency at Tech, but he was hired for his experience, including top-notch leadership. I'd be stunned if he is not sharing the inside scoop on ways to improve VT's Med School overall. I happen to know this doc (Dr. John Jane, Jr.) and he is an extraordinary "catch" for VT. I truly believe VT's program is getting polished up to skyrocket.

Do you have the money to apply to 90 schools? Do you have an idea how many secondary applications you will have to fill out? And within two weeks of receiving the links to apply? You know you can't do that.

You don't mention what your purpose is as a physician. You don't mention anything that could help you narrow your list other than "I just want to get in..." which is the best way to have schools pass your file. Many schools will consider you for interview after redacting your metrics, so it's all up to your mission fit. So far, I don't see it.

Use Faha's list. Start over and figure out what would make you excited to go to that program. Find out from your networking with students at the school what each program does to help students in trouble. You need to be picky; you can't buy just any house for the debt you will go into for medical school.
