Hi all, I would really love some help on cutting down my school list.
  1. cGPA and sGPA as calculated by AMCAS or AACOMAS: 4.0 for both
  2. MCAT score(s) and breakdown: 519. 131/127/131/130
  3. 3.State of residence or country of citizenship (if non-US): Florida Resident. I was born in Boston and have a ton of family in MA from both sides of family.
  4. Ethnicity and/or race: Asian, ORM, not disadvantaged
  5. Undergraduate institution or category: State School
  6. Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer) Hospital: 200 hours. Scribe: 2200 hours
  7. Research experience and productivity Started an undergraduate thesis on emergency services during disasters. 50 hours, 300 projected over next year
  8. Shadowing experience and specialties represented: Psychiatry: 50 hours. Ophthalmology: 40 hours. Family medicine: 30 hours
  9. Non-clinical volunteering: 100 hours volunteering with kids with terminal illnesses, 150 hours TAing for a class (non paid).
  10. Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc) Leadership based on training other scribes. Hobbies: basketball, running, outdoor activities like skiing and hiking.
  11. Relevant honors or awards: None
  12. Anything else not listed you think might be important Mediocre writer + weak research. I love nature so I would prefer to go to a school that has a lot of outdoor activities nearby.

How long have you been a Florida resident, and what area of Florida did you grow up?

I'm what way are you volunteering with terminally ill children for 100 hours? You still should have at least another 50 hours of service orientation community service. TA does not count.

I also need a stronger description of mission fit.
