1. cGPA: 3.82, sGPA: ~3.68-3.73 depending on if a few courses end up getting counted as BCPM
2. MCAT: 520 (128, 131, 129, 132)
3. NJ resident but currently living in NY
4. ORM female
5. Ivy, graduated in 2024 (2 gap years)
   1. CRC with significant patient interaction (1200),
   2. ER scribing (600)
   3. pharmacy tech (200) (unsure if this is clinical, but small % of hours regardless)
6. Research: 2000 hours
   1. CRC (1200) (about 50-50 research/clinical so splitting it up for this thread)
   2. 2 undergrad labs (800)
7. Shadowing: ~50 hours hem/onc, lots of informal shadowing during ED scribing (50 hrs?), 20 hours allergy and immunology (as part of CRC job)
8. Non-clinical volunteering, 550 total:
   1. 300 leading vaccine hesitancy outreach and education initiative in rural communities that I have since turned from undergrad org to 501(c)(3) nonprofit
   2. 100 at harm reduction center
   3. 150 teaching free Zumba classes at senior transitional housing center during gap year
9. Other:
   1. 2000 hours running a nationally competitive performing arts team in undergrad. No joke was spending over 40 hours a week on this my senior year.
   2. 200 hours founder/EIC of undergrad medical humanities magazine.
   3. other random hobby stuff like training for a marathon, composed music for youth orchestras and student films in free time, tutoring high school biology during gap year as a side hustle

School List: I know that I have WAY too many schools right now. Which reach schools should I cut, and are there any baseline schools that should I add? Thank you!

First, cut out the schools where you probably don't want to live for four-ish years. What is the appeal of Wisconsin, Maryland, Tulane, Michigan, Virginia Tech, VCU, or California (UCSF or Stanford; seriously flying across country)? Check the OOS for the publics on this list.

Thank you for responding! My reasonings: I have family ties to Wisconsin and Maryland; spent a lot of my childhood in both cities and would be happy to live there for 4 years. Love location of Tulane as well. Virginia Tech and VCU I added because I felt that I did not have enough schools within/below my stat range and I did not want the list to become too top heavy, but I certainly agree here about the locations not being ideal. I also wouldn't mind moving across the country, which is why I thought I'd shoot my shot at a couple OOS-friendly California "reach" schools, but I could cut those for sure. I think my flexibility for location is why it feels difficult to narrow this down. I also didn't include NYU, Penn, or JHU bc I know they are incredibly stat focused (others on this list are as well, but these seemed to have particular small score/gpa ranges on MSAR).
