Hi! I'm looking for some feedback/advice on my school list. If there's any schools that I wouldn't be competitive for/should eliminate, or if there's any that I should add. I'm a reapplicant (applied in 2023, but only to a handful of schools).

• 3.97 cGPA and 3.95 sGPA
• MCAT 516 (129/127/129/131)
• CA, middle eastern (EO1 disadvantaged/FGLI)
• Psych Major, Public T20 undergrad (but CC transfer), c/o 2021 (several gap years).
• Activities
  1. Clinical employment
     • 3155 hours medical assistant (on-going)
     • 2720 hours lead medical scribe (listed as clinical but emphasized leadership in description) (on-going)
  2. Clinical volunteering
     • 310 hours hospital volunteering
  3. Non-clinical volunteering
     • 580 hours low-income resource center volunteer for after school program/food drive support (on-going)
     • 750 hours first-gen/low-income immigrant tutor/education support (self-guided, did a lot of long term tutoring/teaching English for people in my community) (on-going)
     • 330 hours mental health coach for underserved individuals
  4. Research
     • 150 hours as student researcher on disparities in neurosurgical care access/outcomes, developing project/statistical analysis/currently writing manuscript for publication (on-going, started this year).
     • 250 hours research assistant in lab studying mental health in clinical populations; helped with statistical analysis/data cleaning/self-directed lit reviews (no pubs, no posters/presentations)
     • 200 hours community research in LGBTQ foster youth to inform resource development; helped with facilitating focus groups, transcribing, data cleaning, data coding (no pubs, no posters/presentations)
  5. Shadowing
     • 116 hours; family med, cardiology, pain medicine, +eshadowing across multiple specialties)
  6. Leadership
     • 350 hours president/co-founder of service based club on-campus, included some volunteering hours too (only for 1.5 years because I transferred)
  7. Teaching/TA
     • 100 hours (1 quarter) health psych TA
  8. Non-clinical employment
     • 3000+ hours delivery driver/worked in ice cream shop/front desk in undergrad

Personal Statement/Narrative:
PS focused on family experiences with medical inaccessibility due to financial/language/cultural barriers, and seeing similarities between my family's experiences and other vulnerable communities ultimately motivating me to go into medicine. Tried to emphasize holistic medicine/patient advocacy to achieve health equity.

Other concerns:
1. I'm 4 years out from undergrad, 3 years without any coursework (took physics post-bacc), worried lack of recent coursework is going to be concerning for several schools.

2. I think my research experiences are relatively weak, trying to avoid very research focused schools. Found a research opportunity this year, but with 150 hours still no pubs/posters and not finding a lot of time while I'm working on secondaries. Hopefully will have a pub in fall for updates! Rest of research is from 2020-2021 during undergrad.
