I think you need to add significant hours in service to the disadvantaged, unless it's in the above and I'm not seeing it. Was any of your mentoring or volunteering with disadvantaged groups? If not, you need to really up the hours in that area.

Thanks for the reply! I wasn't sure what exactly counts as disadvantaged groups but a lot of the students I work with are from hispanic/latinx backgrounds. Most of them had little to no exposure music education in general.

Welcome to the forums.

What did you do as an Eagle Scout?
Thanks for the reply! All volunteering for this was done in middle to high school so I'm not sure if it is as impactful. Some of the projects I've helped with included replacing trail markers at nearby hiking trail, helping build and paint tables and pave a new trail at a local church. My project was building garden beds and an irrigation system at a local elementary school I went to growing up. Others activities were volunteering with a disabled scouts troop, helping with mask and testing kit distribution during covid. There are a lot more but these are just some of the ones that I can think of right now!

Are they lower socio economic status? If yes, make that clear in your app. If not, gain experience working with people from disadvantage or lower income groups.

Do you feel you can advocate for them? How much can you discuss how you appreciate their culture/heritage or social situation as an advocate?
