Hi guys, thanks in advance for your help. I'm worried about my science GPA being low and a lack of research. Let me know what you guys think about my school list and if I should add more

Date of submission: not submitted yet, waiting on final letter of recommendation. tentatively 1.5 weeks from now

24 AA | 22 Bio, 22 QR, 23 PAT, 23 TS, 24 O Chem, 24 RC, 26 Gen Chem
State of Residence: California

Undergrad Attended: T30 in CA
Major: Human Biology
Minor: Business
Minority? No
Reapplicant? Yes
Nontrad? No

Shadowing Experience: 220 hours -- 184 general 36 OMFS
Volunteering Experience: 387 hours -- 248 non dental 139 dental
Employment: 1,200 hours -- dental assisting, self-employed tutor, company employed tutor, ubereats
Research: 130 hours -- 1 poster presentation, wet lab research
Other Extracurriculars: 150 hours creating and leading my own service organization, member of pre-dental organization, member of car club
Have you volunteered/shadowed/attended events at any dental schools? volunteered with university's dental clinics
Relevant Honors or Awards: magna cum laude, dean's list all semesters, black belt
LOR type and strength: 1 dentist, 2-3 science professors (waiting on third)

I applied very late last cycle (october), after I took my dat. I, regretfully, applied only to USC UCLA and UCSF--no interviews. This was the first and only time I took the DAT.

These are programs I'm most familiar with, probably just because I've researched them the most due to me being from CA/west coast. I like them all for different individual reasons, but think that they're all pretty strong in their own way.

did you meet with admissions at the d school you volunteered at to see how you could improve your application there?

yes, and have implemented those changes. was mainly with my volunteering hours, the way they were organized made it seem like i had less non-dental volunteering hours than i did.

what did they say about your sGPA?
 
nothing really; this was for USC.

you are correct that your sGPA can be an issue at your top schools, although it is not so low that you shouldn't apply to ucla/ucsf/uop because the rest of your app may make up for it
that said, you only have one in-range school and 2 safeties
and if you apply to umich and ivies, it throws off he balance even more...
