Hey everyone, if you have feedback, would appreciate it. I don't know what I should be applying for considering I'm military/URM, so I focused on in-state schools and a couple OOS. Am I reaching too high on some of these? Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

1. cGPA: 3.59, sGPA: 3.49, postbacc gpa: 4.0 w/ > 30 credits
2. MCAT: 514 (128/128/128/130)
3. CA resident
4. 36 y/o URM Hispanic/Navy veteran (officer, 2x deployments)
5. Schools: undergrad: pitt, grad: naval war college, currently in nursing ADN program (4.0 gpa)
6. Clinical experience: ~2000 hours EMT (IFT and ER trauma tech)
7. Research experience: Nothing medicine related, but I was an intel analyst in the Navy, wrote research papers on foreign threats as a full time job, authored 14 papers.
8. Shadowing experience: ~100 hours ER physician at local hospital
9. Volunteering: ~100 hours clinical (split between non-clinical Navy and nursing school doing free clinics for community, vaccines and BP/glucose checks).
10. Other extracurricular activities: on staff at my local church, I like playing pickleball, golfing (I'm not very good)
11. Relevant honors or awards: various military decorations (e.g., navy commendation medal, achivement medals, graduated ugrad/grad w/ honors)

Thank you for taking the time to consider my list and make recommendations. I will be sure to review this list with my family and see which ones we are going to add. I appreciate you.

You're a strong applicant, especially if you can craft a compelling narrative. Obviously, your list is short. Make sure to apply broadly and consider which cities you might want to live in.
