Hello all, I am a NY resident sorta late in the cycle just adding schools to my list and wanted advice as I just got my MCAT Score back. Idk If I should apply to any T20 at all as my stats are average.

cGPA 3.71
sGPA 3.62
Upward trend, brother got cancer freshman into sophomore year.
Fresh: 3.47
Soph: 3.68
Junior: 3.94

MCAT : 516
Race: Central Asian, not considered Asian, so I have to check white for my race.

Research: One publication as second author in chemistry journal. Submitted two manuscripts for publication this month, hence the late app, will not be hearing back til after I submit my primary. 1250 hours. Two presentations. Two summers and two awards.

Volunteering: Volunteer Tutor for inner city students for 6 years now: 750 hours

Clinical: Medical Assistant for 300 hours (not certified that is just my job title)
Volunteer Doula for 60 hours.

Shadowing: Three primary care physicians , total of 30 hours.

Leadership: President of one club, secretary of another.
Teaching assistant for two courses, designed a lab for one.

LoR: Really strong, probably the best thing on my application.

Daughter of a physician though both my parents are refugees that struggle with mental illness.

Thank you so much! I don't believe I'm below 25th percentile for any of these, I'm on average at 25th percentile for GPA for Stanford, Harvard, etc. So I am on the fence about applying to top schools.

Try something like Harvard OR Yale + Cornell or Stanford, etc. ie, hedge bets on a few of these, as you only have a single great year in your cGPA
