I am currently in my senior year of undergrad, and i honestly don't know what my chances of getting into a mid-tier medical school is since my scores are kinda low average. I personally feel i am a little different because im ADHD and Dyslexic and coupled with my experience as a whole.

Currently, i have a 3.4 overall GPA
scored a 505 on the MCAT
The second author on Triple-negative Metaplastic Breast Cancer research paper.
I work full time as a Regional Representative for a hemp company with my territory being over three states.
for the past two summers i was a college Researcher at M.D. Anderson
over 500 shadowing hours
200 volunteering hours
Interned at a clinic for 2 months

Any ideas if i will be taken seriously at all? I just have a lot of anxiety about my grades recently getting so close to graduation.

Are you only interested in MD programs or are you open to DO programs as well?

Unless you live in a very lucky state, and have massive rising GPA trend, MD is not on the table for you, much less a mid-tier school.

DO is.

500 shadowing hours is overkill. You only need 50.

No nonclinical volunteering is going to be lethal as well.

ADHD and dyslexia do not make for an easy path in medical school.

And honestly, I don't being a hemp sales rep is going to be a real positive.

Unfortunately having learning disabilities don’t give you a pass on subpar grades/MCAT scores.

Probably Texas since the OP worked at MD Anderson

Can you apply for testing accommodations and re-take the MCAT? I would if I were you. An actual award is rare, but I think they are fairly generous with extra break time if you have good documentation. You're definitely a viable DO candidate.

I am retaking the MCAT and i have started studying 2 chapters of the Kaplan book each day. I also received extra time accommodations. My goal is 515!

From what I hear there is no easy path in medical school! Also, students with learning disabilities who successfully navigate through an undergrad career often have learned how to capitalize on their strengths and use all their resources. If you are admitted, OP, I think you can do it. Never underestimate the power of determination!

ADHD and dyslexia are particularly troublesome in medical students. A solid academic record will allay any fears.

No one cares about the conditions, they care about the results. It’s rough but you need to understand that to perform

Selling hemp is not something I view as particularly positive or negative.

I suggest these DO schools with your stats:
VCOM (all 4 schools)
CUSOM
AZCOM
TUNCOM
WESTERN
TUCOM-CA
UIWSOM
MU-COM
ATSU-KCOM
KCU-COM
DMU-COM
CCOM
ARCOM
LECOM (all schools)
PCOM (all schools)
For MD your only realistic chance would be your Louisiana state public schools.
