Hello all, I am reapplying to medical school (both MD & DO) and am seeking some general advice as far as where to apply and what my chances are. I am aware my application is more suitable for osteopathic schools which I would be more than grateful to be able to attend. I applied once before and was waitlisted at one of the top DO schools. I appreciate any and all guidance.
MA resident
undergrad science gpa 3.1
undergrad overall gpa 3.4
undergrad non-science gpa 3.8
SMP masters gpa 3.5
research thesis grade: A
MCAT: 504 :/
15,000+ hr of clinical experience as an EMT, medical assistant, ER tech, vaccinator, personal care attendant, etc.
Not a minority but will be reapplying as disadvantaged due to significant social and economic barriers growing up.
