are any of those schools international friendly?

Yes you’ll need to apply broadly. International students are fighting for much less spots compared to US citizens. I would get the ADEA guide to help you choose the best schools for you. Just make sure you have all prerequisites needed as well as LORs. You’ll need a supervisor letter. Oral surgeon wouldn’t be as good as a general dentist.

As an international applicant, how are you able to get hired for employment?

I presume you mention "general " shadowing as just shadowing general practices.

Fine manual dexterity? PAT?

What is your story of your interest in dentistry? What country is home? Where did you graduate from high school?

Yeah I’m aware that I’m at a disadvantage. I already have the adea guide and I’ve made a larger school list (30 schools). I don’t feel comfortable getting a letter from the general dentist I shadowed, as I just “stood there” and I probably would get a better letter from the OS I worked for.

I would love to answer all these questions and forward you my personal statement through a DM.
