Rising undergrad senior. Applying to Cornell (In state), NC State, University of Wisconsin, Purdue, and Mizzou

GPA: 3.77 (hoping to raise to 3.8 before graduation)
Science GPA: ~3.65
Last 45: ~3.83

Major: Zoology
Minor: Chemistry

Vet experience:
40 hrs shadowing mixed animal GP over one month
~1000 hours vet assistant at vet ER

Animal:
~3 hrs volunteering at local shelter
~40 hrs farm animal sanctuary volunteer

Research:
120 hours as lab technician intern at cortisol quantification lab

Extracurriculars:
Secretary, Women in Stem Club last year
Pre-vet club, member this year
Joined local sorority this past semester
Joined club focusing on volunteering at local animal shelters

Employment:
~450 hours sales associate
~165 hours front desk worker at my college's Biological Field Station

Achievements:
High School Valedictorian + graduated a year early
Dean's list - 3 semesters
President's list - 3 semesters
Presidential Scholarship
Induction into National Honors Society in High school

LoR: biochemistry professor, anatomy professor, pre-vet advisor, ER vet

You will benefit from more experience hours if this cycle does not result in a seat for you somewhere. 640 hours isn't terribly low, but you need to stand out somehow. As a general recommendation, spend a lot of time on your personal statement and have it proofread by as many people as possible (and from different backgrounds, so not all vet-types).

Lol I have had a hard time figuring out my last 45, but I've been on the President's list for last 3/4 semesters, so I would guess it's around 3.8. I recalculated my hours, it turns out I have ~1000 ER, and I'll have ~150 volunteering with large animals by the time I apply.
I chose these schools based mostly on cost, my GPA is right around average for these schools... should I be applying to some where my GPA is above average? I'm having trouble finding schools which are affordable and have lower GPAs, what are your thoughts?

Not necessarily, you're right in line for the typical average last 45/cGPA, if not a bit above. Honestly I don't have anything specific to suggest, I'd apply and see what happens with stats/hours like these. General advice, but make sure the written portions of your application (LORs included) are as outstanding as possible
