So I don't know who makes these decisions (I wouldn't be surprised if it was my school because it sucks!) but whoever it is they are being gay and the dates of the WREB exams are 2 weeks following graduation in the middle of June. I wouldn't care, but I am planning to go to residency which starts July 1st and would like a little vacation following graduation plus a little time to move to a new city. Since I will only have 10 days following the WREB to start my new program, I don't think I will have enough time, considering most programs have you come early for orientation. Sooooo.... I want to take the exam at a nearby school where the exam is scheduled during memorial day weekend. Is this possible? feasible? anybody have any thoughts, suggestions? The nearby school is driving distance and transport of patients, while expensive, shouldn't be too much of an issue. Thanks

Absolutely can be done - i know ppl who have done it for that reason exactly and passed no problems. yeah the nearest school was driving distance too so not much of an issue - good luck!

To play devils advocate: during the day of your licensing exam, needless to say, your stress level will be at an all time high. By taking the exam at your own school, you are familiar with your environment, you know exactly where all the supplies are, and you don't have to rent any equipment (YMMV). I do have plenty of friends who took their exams at other sites (one who even took her exam across the country) and still passed.
