Was I supposed to receive something from NBME?

After my application was submited, all I got was orange paper(prometric information). But from this forum, I thought I saw something about practice test that came with application? Can someone clearify this for me?

You can download the 150 released items from here either in PDF file or program format. They give you answers but no explanations (although QBANK gives you explanations).

If you want to spend some money, there are two more sets of 200 questions available here for $45 each. You take these online, they give you a score and an assessment but no answers.

They used to send you a CD with those released items but they don't do that anymore. Those released items seem to be the same old ones that I have from 1998, so I don't know how much has changed since that time. I don't know how old the self assessments are.

Wow, sorry to inconvenience you. I guess I was sort of hoping you didn't know that for sure since I didn't read it that way but haven't taken them yet myself. Got it now though.

No inconvenience...I just thought it was funny that I posted for the specific reason of saying that they cost $45 each and that you don't get answers with them and the next two questions were "Is it $45 each?" and "Do you get answers?"...
