only one person posted an acceptance from rwj yesterday...was yesterday the first day? did anyone else hear from them? anyone know when the people being accepted were interviewed? I interviewed in early sept...

yeah, yesterday was the first day...Dr. turregino personally calls all the accepted applicants. The adcom meets on Thursdays (I think like the first and third Thursdays of each month) and so she always calls Thursday nights. If it helps, I interviewed there the last week of August and found out yesterday. 🙂

I'm in the same boat. I interviewed at the end of September. I am staring at my phone waiting for a ring. This weekend is not going to be fun.

so if njms is so much better, how come you applied to rwj first? you seem like a sensible guy so I'm sure you researched your options and schools before applying... 🙄

u like my enthusiam....all the student at NJMS are like me 🙂 the adcom makes it a point to admit peeps wit good personalities...all i have to say is PLS PLS PLS PLS dont let the fact that NJMS is in newark affect ur decision....NJMS's clinical program is VERY VERY GOOD...especially wit the new changes...newark has changed...it is much safer now...and plus u get a diverse population...not to mention the new cancer center 🙂 👍 👍

yep you are rite.....i applied to RWJ through a BA/MD program.... i was not accepted..HOWEVER, they accepted 11/50 students that applied through the program....usually they accept 14-15 students...i was told by 2 members of the commitee that if they had accepted 14/15 students..i would have been one of them......and to add to this....the adcom of RWJ keep a list of the BA/MD kids that were at the top and were not accepted....and if your stats are good( 3.5 and 30) you would be admitted the normal way....so i basically CAN still go to RWJ if i wanted to...but ...the clincal experience is much better at NJMS...in addition, the research money from the NIH, has doubled at NJMS, so now i think that NJMS is sitting on more money than RWJ all because of the biodefense center and the new cancer center.
