Does anyone have info on this program for IM Residency? I've heard it's a very good place for Onc. Is it a University Program or University Affiliated?

I greatly appreciate any input in advance.

University affiliated with Georgetown University (not university program in and of itself).

I think they can do rotations at a few different MedStar hospitals (including Georgetown).

A few colleagues matched there and seem to be happy with their match (strong in house Cards is what I hear); others could probably give you better information

Thanks for the response - and love the Goljan avatar.

I interviewed there. Thought it was a strong clinical program. About 50% IMGs if I recall properly. People seemed to match okay into fellowships but it's probably more of an uphill battle than at another university program like Georgetown in the same city.

Their cardiology is awesome, although the program is now purely Georgetown fellows.

Thanks very much for that.

I know Sandra Swain, the outgoing President of ASCO, is there so figured it should have a good Oncology program.

It is dwarfed by a lot of it's neighbors. It has MCV and UVA to the 2 hours to the south (both better IM programs), Georgetown and GW in the same city and Hopkins, Maryland and Bayview 1 hour to the north (all better IM programs).

For cards, WHC is a good program. It is not a great IM program.
