I am still tryinig to make a choice on dental schools. I am down to UofW or Nebraska. I've heard good and bad about both. Any input on these schools or any opinions that you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

University Of Washington is one of the top schools in the nation
don't miss it

Go where you will be happy. You know where I stand and I've let you know my experiences. I am a UW student, I know the school like the back of my hand.

Just because a school gets a lot of NIH grants doesn't make it the best school. No ranks are available. So you have to rank it.

Happiness. Confidence that you will be the best dentist if you go to that school.

well, I guess you are right about that, I didn't mean it they way you guys interpreted my comment, I thought he was asking for an advice. By the way I am from Portland Oregon and I know a little bet about both OHSU and UoFW but currently going to school in t SE

Yeah, UofW is a big "hot shot" in the Northwest. Honestly, I would rank OHSU higher than UW. There teaching style is very different and it works.

Also another interesting note: During my UW interview my interviewer said, "The Number 1 school is the one you make it." Just because a school ranks high doesn't mean it is unless you let it mean that to you. So think where you will do your best work?

Do you want to go to a school that is hostile?

Do you prefer a competitive environment or an amicable environment?

How are the facilities?

These questions should be answered. And remember just because a school takes high stats or looks at numbers and accept only 3.9 students does not make it the best school in the world.
