I'm just wondering if anyone was told that their application would be reviewed by Wash U today and if anyone knows when we're actually supposed to hear back from them. Past threads have made it seem like we should have heard today, but I haven't received an email or call. Any info would be appreciated!

Also had October 21 as my review date and have yet to hear anything! I was under the same impression that we should have heard something today as well. Hopefully soon! Mind me asking your stats?

I ended up getting an email saying that I was put on the wait list! I sort of expected that because of my low GRE, but hopefully something will open up!

I received that same email! My stats are similar to yours. What was your rank?
 
2.88! I'm hoping that gives me a chance still... what about you?
 
My review is on November 5th. Did the e-mail specify at all how the wait-list works in a school with rolling admissions?
 
3.14 so you will get a spot before me! Have you been accepted anywhere yet MOPT? They rank all individuals from 1 to 6 with 1 being the highest and that determines the order of the waitlist. A certain number get accepted from each review date.

I haven't been accepted anywhere yet! I had an interview at Missouri State, but won't hear back until december & I have an interview at Rockhurst in December, but no acceptances yet! What about you?
 
Me neither. Starting to freak out a little bit that I picked such difficult schools to get into. I have an interview at Miami next month but could take until March to hear back and still waiting to hear anything from two other schools.
 
I'm freaking out too. I'm trying to stay calm because so far Wash U is the only school to contact me with some sort of decision besides an interview, but it does make you start to think "what if". I only applied to 4 schools, so I just hope I'm not kicking myself later for that.
 
I was accepted Early Decision this year! They called me around lunch the day after my review date.
 
Anyone else have a Nov 5th review date? I'm anxious to hear back

Have those of you with a review date yesterday for Wash U received any news?
 
I recieved an email about an hour ago. I'm on the waitlist.
 
Waitlisted. Rank: 4.88. Probably won't get a slot but I admit I am a bit excited to even be considered.
 
Waitlisted as well, which is not a surprise to me. I'm happy to still have a chance and some time to hear from my other schools, as most of them send out decisions in February or later.
 
Yep waitlisted at a 3.00. Actually surprising considering they've already accepted a few rounds of people and it's so competitive. I'm gland to take that.

I feel the same way. I actually called the school this morning to talk to them in more detail about the wait list. I am actually stunned that they even viewed me as an option for their program. Just the thought that I may have an opportunity to study at their program has me not only really excited, but also re-evaluating my plan if that were to happen and if my application was as weak as I thought it was.
 
I still haven't applied yet...I had too many outstanding pre-reqs, so I will be able to apply at the end of this fall semester. Honestly terrified that most spots will already be filled. Wish I would have been able to apply as an early admit but didn't want to wait another year. What were everyone's GRE scores and GPA? I have no idea what kind of shot I have...3.6 undergrad GPA and 3.56 Math & Science GPA. GRE scores yet to be determined, but scoring in the upper 150's and low 160's on practice tests. I also heard they LOVE volunteer work...obviously we all have our observation hours, but did anyone go the extra mile and do something outside of that? Good luck everyone! 🙂
 
Just an update. I was ranked at a 3.14 and got a call today admitting me to the program at Washington University. Beyond ecstatic to be accepted to a top school when I haven't been accepted at any other programs yet!
 
I got a call today as well! I haven't heard from any other programs yet, so I'm not sure if I will be attending or not, but I am super excited to have an acceptance!
 
I got the call as well! I am ecstatic as this was one of my top choices! I will more than likely be in Saint Louis this fall and I CANNOT wait!! Congratulations to you all as well, maybe I'll see you in the Lou!
 
I'm still hoping for a call. I've got a rank of 3.5. Congratulations on your acceptance. Hopefully I'll see you in August.
 
Has anyone with a rank higher than 3.14 been accepted? Sarah from admissions said they got to 3.3 last year.
 
I was waitlisted at the rank of 3 and I got the acceptance call around a month ago, so you're close! I hope you hear from them soon
 
Hey you guys, you talk about these ranks, but how did you find them? You guys and gals obviously know something I don't. :thinking: It is kind of too late to be concerned about it due to my acceptance to Wash. U. but I was interested nonetheless.

Kind of a late reply, but the rank was included in the email I received notifying me that I had been placed on the waitlist.

Has anyone received an email through PTCAS requesting that you do a background check? Wash U is the only school I have been accepted at, so I assumed it was for that, but I also found a past thread where the email had been sent in error.
 
No, I didn't get a email from PTCAS requesting that I do a background check. And thanks for the response!
 
UPDATE: Has anyone decided that they'll be at Wash U this fall? I'm still currently torn but Wash U was my first love...

I'm planning on it, sent my deposit in and my husband has started job hunting. I do have one more interview at the end of the month, so there is a small chance I won't be attending.
 
I put down a deposit! Although I am still waiting to hear back from schools. 🙂
 
The research opportunities at Wash U seem top notch, which is why I am leaning towards calling the Central West End of St Louis my home for 3 years.

I am super excited to be accepted, and I have already put down my deposit as well. Who is going to the admitted students day at the end of the month!?
 
I have chosen to attend the other school I was accepted to instead.
 
I withdrew my acceptance recently and will be going to another school.
 
Proud to say the Lou will be my home for the next three years!! Can't wait to start. 🙂
