I have 23 days to study for Step 1 and I haven't done anything at all yet. I'm thinking of doing:
BRS Path
BRS Physio (should I do this before or after BRS Path/FA?)
First Aid
QBank
Clin micro made ridic simple.

Is it a waste to try and do Robbins Review of Path, HY Neuroanat, HY Biochem and RR: Micro & Immuno as well? In 23 days do I have the time or should I focus on the first 5 things I mentioned? I have the Goljan audio, is it worth listening to? Any other good stuff I need to look at? Thanks.

I'm doing the following:

Kaplan QBank
First Aid
Goljan HY

and that's it.

Both the Robbins Review and Goljan audio are very high yield and definitely worth your time. If you know the micro section of first aid well, you don't need micro made ridic (maybe just glance over the pictures). Good luck!

Hi Wozzer, I think focusing first on subjets you're weak with, then going over broader subjects (path, pharm) along with questions would be a good aproach. For instance, I did HY neuro, biochem, and embryo first, because they're weak subjects for me. Then I did BRS phys, pharm/micro, then goljan path (Rapid review with audio). For the last week before the exam, I'm going to study do a quick review of everything. Throughout I've annotated FA and done Qbank and Robbins Review Q's at night.

I only mention what I have done because the materials you're using/thinking of using are identical to what I've (and many others) used. Using FA as an "anchor", HY neuro, BRS path/phys (follow path w/goljan audio as you go along), Qbank and Robbins for questions...with your limited time, maybe use FA solely for biochem, embryology, behavioral, and micro/immuno. These subjects aren't 100% in depth in FA, but you'de probably be better off hitting the high yield subjects (path, pharm, neuro, phys) with the separate, more in-depth items listed above.

Its gonna be tough w/23 days, but try and come up with a plan, and be sure to hit your worst subjects the hardest. Always save a couple hours at night to do Qbank or Robbins review (both very good). Disclaimer, this is all just my opinion 🙂 Good luck!

3 weeks is enough time I think to study relatively thoroughly if you put your mind to it. It also depends on how well you did in your classes 1st and 2nd year and how much you remember. You really should be refreshing your memory and not learning new stuff at this point, or you'll never get through it all. With that said, I'd focus 90% of my time on First Aid and Qbank. Skim through the other books if you feel weak in areas or just need a break from FA and Qbank, but FA and Qbank is where the money is for the most part. You'll be amazed on your Step1 by how much comes out of those two resources.

Robbins is not a waste. Only do one micro source, as micro is pretty weak on USMLE. I personally think you will regret not hitting a pharm source hard. Spend 2-3 days with pharm recall or something other than FA.

Thanks for all the advice folks, I guess I'll tentatively skip micro made simple and hope that FA has all the micro I need. I'll see if I have time to listen to Goljan audio as I go through BRS Path. I'm planning on doing BRS Path along with the organ-based section from FA and maybe Goljan audio as well. Is this a good idea or should I go through each book/audio separately? Also any idea if BRS Physio should be done before or after Path?

I'll quiz on robbins and I have Katzun Pharm (small) that I'll look over too.
