I am almost done filling out my Waterloo application (and now very far behind in my school work 😳) and have got one question that I thought I'd post on SDN before I send away all my apprehension to Ontario....

I have made photocopies of all the awards and certificates that they requested I supply with my application, however, I wasn't sure how I was supposed to organize them. I don't think that I should use a small three ring binder, that would be too bulky at their end. However, I thought at the very least I should put the sheets in plastic covers in a duo tang.

I know because Waterloo will be receiving tons of applications, a paper clip may be all they want, but on the other hand, I thought maybe this was really a test of our organizational skills (everybody like conspiracy theories, right? 😀).

Anyway, if there are any keeners out there like me that have already got to this point in the application, or applicants from previous years, what did you do?

Thanks in advance!

hmm interesting- perhaps you could tell us what they say after emailing them about that?

perhaps they want to see if we can follow instructions only.....

so photocopies and not photos of the awards?
btw a question= starting from when should we announce the awards? last year of high school?........ or only university time related?

you already have your app done? and you have a binder full of awards?

who cares what order you're putting it in, you're getting in wit that type of organization.

....as long as you have a 360+OAT, that is

EDIT: n/m, apparently apps went out early this year. apparently the new director is kicking some ass in the admissions dept

Hi all,

I phoned Waterloo today, and really didn't get my question answered, lol! She said that no organization was really necessary, and simply paper-clipping everything together was all that was needed. But I still feel like I should organize it somewhat...

And mtrlOATgal, I don't know what you're SUPPOSED to do, but I have gone back into my high school years for some awards, especially for the volunteering end of the application. I don't think it would hurt to include some pre-university stuff, b/c honestly it will help fill out for the dip in extracurricular activities that (most) people have during the first couple years of university!😛

360+ academic or science?

I e mailed them about OAT scores and this is what they said, "We look at all the scores except academic average"

But I have been "hearing" different things..

do you guys mind sharing your stats?
