Waterloo - When are acceptances/declines sent?

Hey Everyone?

Does anyone have any idea around when acceptances are sent out for Waterloo?!?!

it says on the website that acceptance letters will be mailed out by mid-March.....but last year people were getting acceptances up on quest the first week in march. i would check quest if your anxious!! i can't wait any longer either!!

Argh, I saw "Waterloo" on the main page and was like !!, and then I read the rest of the subject heading and was sad. 😛

Last year people first started finding out on Quest on March 5, at least as reported by the SDN members, and in 2009 the first people were finding out on February 27. Both were Fridays (which I find odd, but maybe the committee had been meeting that week and started releasing their first acceptances at the end?). The year before that it was in April, but I think interviews were conducted later back then. So if past trends are anything to go by, it could be anywhere between this Friday and mid-March. *sigh* Plus, not everyone finds out on the first day - there were some people who had to wait a week or so before their status changed to "admitted".

I'm pretty much going crazy right now. I know there's no point in stressing because there's nothing else I can do until I find out, but it's hard not to worry. I seem to recall somebody at the interviews saying the committee would be meeting in the last week of February, but that easily could have been something I read on SDN - the entire interview day is pretty much a blur to me. (I've been checking Quest daily just in case the committee magically decided to meet early. 😛)

Yup, I remember someone on interview day saying they don't meet until end of February.

Hang in there I am sure there is some movement. but it might happen later in the summer.

In the other thread people had mentioned it went up to #13 last year I think...
Sometime in August that person found out supposedly.

You'd be surprised... like the above poster said they have gone up to 13 in the past. Keep in mind not everyone who applies/gets in have Optometry as their first choice. Many people have it as a back-up for med school, etc... and since med school acceptances come out in the summer you probably won't hear until then but keep positive!
