📣 Non-Categorical OMFS Internship Opening at JPS Health Network

JPS Health Network's Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) Department is accepting applications for one non-categorical intern position. This is an outstanding opportunity for those seeking to strengthen their OMFS residency application.

🔍 What to Expect:
Interns will gain true full-scope experience, including exposure to:

• Dentoalveolar surgery
• Head and neck trauma
• Head and neck cancer (including microvascular reconstruction)
• Orthognathic surgery (data collection, diagnosis, and treatment planning)
• Facial pain and TMJ management
• Extensive operating room experience

💼 Weekly Highlights:

• Monday: Extractions + Orthognathic surgery grand rounds
• Tuesday: Dentoalveolar + facial/oral lesion clinic + facial trauma OR
• Wednesday: IV Sedation Clinic, TMJ clinic, and OR
• Thursday: Dentoalveolar + head/neck cancer OR
• Friday: Full mouth extractions, IV sedation, and pre-ops

Interns work alongside 5th and 6th-year OMFS residents from the UT Southwestern/Parkland program, participate in lectures, workshops, and mock interviews, and are provided with robust support for the OMFS match.
