Does anyone know if we need to have current CPR licensure if we graduated in 2007 for the march 2008 license registration update?

My CPR card states 2005 issue, with a recommended update at 2007. Do I need to retake that CPR class, or are 2007 grads allowed to register without this? I'm asking because 2007 grads do not need to submit any CE requirements.

I don't know about where you live, but I have to recertify for CPR next week according to the IOA.

my buddies were telling me that online CPR counts, and it usually costs less. google online cpr classes, and check those out

I asked the IOA about it; they said it absolutely does NOT count online.

I have friends working in Illinois and they used to be part of IOA. They were telling me that IOA tries to push actual classes in person so that you spend more money. It's a deal with AHA. If you are interested in looking at the state legislature, check out the rules and regulations of optometry, and you'll see that there is no such statement that mentions online CPR is not valid. It only mentions that you require CPR certification.
